Who we are
sayeedbm.com is the photography portfolio and print shop of Sayeed Bin Mohiuddin (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This page explains what personal data we collect from visitors and customers, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, you can reach us at ssayeedbm@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Comments. When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it; see the Gravatar privacy policy at automattic.com/privacy. Once a comment is approved, your profile photo is visible to the public alongside it.
Contact and enquiry forms. If you use a contact, booking, or commission enquiry form on this site, we collect the details you submit, such as your name, email address, and message, so we can respond to you.
Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address to send you occasional posts and photography updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email you receive.
Purchases. If you buy a print or digital product through our shop, our store (built on WooCommerce) collects the order, billing, and shipping details needed to fulfil your order. Payment is processed directly by our payment provider, Payoneer Checkout; we do not see or store your full card or account details on our own servers.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, connected through Site Kit by Google, to understand how visitors use the site, including pages viewed, general location, device type, and similar aggregated statistics.
Advertising. This site may show ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to personalise the ads you see based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review or opt out of personalised advertising at Google’s Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com.
Cookies
We use cookies for a few purposes: to remember your comment details if you choose to save them, to support login sessions for site administrators, to power analytics through Google Analytics, to serve and measure ads through Google AdSense, and to run on-site tools such as our newsletter and pop-up sign-ups (OptinMonster). If you leave a comment, cookies saving your name, email, and website last for one year. Login cookies last two days (two weeks if you select “Remember Me”), and are removed when you log out. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Media
If you upload images to this site, for example as part of a comment or submission, please avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as other visitors can extract that data from the file.
Embedded content
Posts and pages on this site may include embedded content, for example videos or social posts. Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly, and those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the embedded content.
Who we share data with
We share only the data necessary with the third-party services that help run this site: Google (Analytics and AdSense), WooCommerce and Payoneer Checkout (order and payment processing), Jetpack (security, stats, and forms), OptinMonster (newsletter and pop-up sign-ups), and WPForms (contact forms). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we retain data
Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so we can recognise follow-up comments automatically. Order information is retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove what we can while retaining anything we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing ssayeedbm@gmail.com. This does not include data we are required to retain for legal, tax, or security reasons.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site or the tools we use change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
